Cimcat is an educational and informational non-profit project, created to promote knowledge and discovery of the peaks of Catalonia. This website has no commercial purpose and generates no economic benefit.
Images used on this website come primarily from Wikimedia Commons and are published under Creative Commons licenses (CC BY-SA, CC BY or public domain). You can find full attribution for each image on the credits page.
Peak descriptions are based on content from Wikipedia, published under the CC BY-SA license. Texts have been adapted, summarised and translated to provide relevant information for hikers.
Routes shown on Cimcat may have different origins: some are Cimcat's own creations, others have been contributed by community members, and in some cases maps from Wikiloc are embedded via their official embed system. Technical data (distance, elevation, duration) is factual information. Route descriptions are written by us and do not copy third-party content.
Interactive maps use tiles from Stadia Maps (stadiamaps.com) and OpenTopoMap (opentopomap.org), based on data from OpenStreetMap (openstreetmap.org) and OpenMapTiles (openmaptiles.org). All cartographic content is subject to their respective open licences.
